Sheriff’s Office: Pilot killed in Georgia plane crash
DALLAS, Ga. (AP) — A pilot died Monday when his single-engine plane crashed in a wooded area of northwestern Georgia.
The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office told local news outlets that the pilot, who wasn’t immediately identified, was the only person on board the plane when it went down midday Monday.
No injuries were reported on the ground. The sheriff’s office said its deputies were working with officials from the National Transportation Safety Board on the investigation.
